HOW TO RENT
Renting from SYNC is easy! Here's how to get started if you're a first timer.

1. Request a Quote
Request a quote by emailing SYNC@SYNCphotorental.com, calling 323-285-5450, or submitting our Request a Quote form. Include your gear list, pickup and return dates, and any special notes about your shoot.
We will get back to you as soon as possible with a detailed quote sent to your email. If you want to get a head start on submitting all required paperwork needed to confirm your rental, please proceed to the next step.
2. Create an Account
To get started with your account:

Sign Up HERE.

Wait for us to manually approve you, return to the link and log in.

Click Create a Profile and submit all required forms on your account.
Once finished, let us know so we can manually review and verify everything.
3. Confirm and Receive
Please review your quote carefully to ensure all details are correct. Once everything looks good, let us know that your order is good to confirm. Gear is not reserved until we receive an explicit confirmation from you and we have all required information on file.
Once confirmed, we’ll process any necessary holds and prepare your order for pickup or delivery at the agreed-upon date and time.

After your rental has been returned, our team will check in the gear, send your final invoice, collect payment and release any temporary holds.

Insurance
Certificate of Insurance (COI)
Requirements

Please view our samples below for reference.

You must provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) showing a Rented Equipment policy that covers the full replacement value of your rental.

SYNC must be named as Additional Insured & Loss Payee.

If renting a vehicle, you must also have Hired and Non-owned Auto Liability with coverage for Physical Damage $125,000 minimum per auto

COIs with only General Liability or Business Personal Property are not sufficient and will be denied.

We do not accept Thimble Insurance or policies with exceptions for theft from vehicles.

Need Insurance?

SYNC does not sell insurance. However, you can get an instant quote online for a short-term or annual policy from our partner Athos.

When purchasing insurance, make sure the rented equipment limit covers the total replacement value of the equipment you are renting.

You can find the Total Replacement Value including sales tax on your SYNC quote, or reach out to us if you’re unsure.

When choosing a deductible, please note that the pre-authorization credit card hold to confirm your rental is based upon the cost of the rental plus your insurance deductible. In some cases, too high of a deductible may be similar to being uninsured.

For smaller value rentals you may be able to opt out by allowing us to place a pre-authorization credit card hold for the cost of the rental plus the total replacement cost of the equipment.
